Food that industry can no longer sell is still good food. We put it back into circulation: from the warehouse to the table of those in need, free of charge.
Recover,
Add value,
Give.
01
We recover
We collect food and non-food products from the agri-food supply chain, from national and European public programmes and from the generosity of citizens.
02
We add value
In our warehouses we check every batch and maintain the cold chain: food safety applies to donated goods exactly as it does to goods for sale.
03
We give
We supply parishes, associations, soup kitchens and solidarity shops free of charge: those who know the families of their area by name.
Where the food comes from
Not only surplus from companies: the Foundation coordinates the collection of food and non-food products through seven different channels, and makes them available to partner organisations.
How we source it- Agriculture Produce that stays out of the market while retaining its full nutritional value
- Food industry Batches that can no longer be sold through traditional retail channels
- Retail chains Products withdrawn from stores and distribution centres
- Catering services Surplus supplies from collective catering
- Ministry of Agriculture National food distribution plan (MASAF)
- European Union FSE+ programme, European Social Fund Plus
- Citizens National Food Drive against Hunger in Italy
National Food Drive against Hunger in Italy
One Saturday a year, thousands of volunteers stand in supermarkets across Italy: shoppers add one product and leave it at the exit. In the 2026 edition this became 1,547,891 kg of aid.

Support the work of those who recover and give, every day
The food is donated to us and volunteers give their time. Your donation supports the work of our branches and provides the means to keep going: vehicles, cold rooms, warehouses. Traceable donations are tax deductible under art. 83 of Italian Legislative Decree 117/2017.
